Recycled Silver, 9ct Solid Gold and 18ct Gold vermeil

My jewellery is made with 100% recycled sterling silver, 9ct solid gold or 18ct Gold vermeil.

The difference between Vermeil and Plating:

Vermeil is when Sterling Silver jewellery is coated with a thick layer of gold, whereas gold plating has a much thinner coating. Gold plated jewellery also tends to have a cheaper base metal like aluminium or brass, whereas the metal for Gold Vermeil is always Sterling or pure Silver. The process of vermeil results in beautiful, durable pieces which are both sensitive to skin and offer the luxurious look of gold at a more accessible price point.

Product Care

Keep your jewellery clean by polishing it every few months with a microfibre cloth. No chemicals should be used on gold vermeil jewellery. If you have silver or solid gold jewellery you can use warm, soapy water – but be sure to let it dry after cleaning.

Etta Burton jewellery is designed for everyday wear, but to keep it looking its best, please remove it before washing, exercising, or using sanitisers. Minimise exposure to soaps, perfumes, lotions, oils, and chlorine, and avoid submerging your pieces in water for extended periods.
