THE PROCESS

DESIGN
The brief – Elegant, slender, clean lines, Silver, diamond and pale blue gemstones
I sketched up different designs for the client to review and we worked together to choose and refine his favourite.
I sourced various gemstone options and the client chose a stunning central emerald cut diamond, two blue emerald and trillion cut topaz to flank either side. We chose a cathedral setting for the diamond to highlight it.
I then created a 3D model of his chosen ring so he could visualise how the design would look.
MAKING
AT THE JEWELLERY BENCH
At the jewellery bench, piercing, filing, soldering to create this elegant piece. Next, setting the central diamond in its four clawed cathedral setting. And the setting of the four topaz either side.
Finally a good old polish to bring the ring to its silver and blue perfection.
SHINY AND NEW
HANDING THE PIECE OVER
Then delivery day in time for the proposal!
A wonderful feeling to have worked with a client to create such a unique and personal ring that he was so proud to propose with.
