THE PROCESS
DESIGN
The Brief – A 18ct yellow gold wedding band with links to the bride’s engagement and wedding ring
The inspiration was apple leaves to link in with the bride’s rings. I sketched up different designs for the client to review and we worked together to choose and refine his favourite. We settled on a 18ct 4mm D shape band with engraved leaves encircling the ring.
MAKING

AT THE JEWELLERY BENCH
At the jewellery bench, piercing, filing, soldering and engraving to create this gorgeous piece.
Then off to the laser engraver to get the client’s chosen engraving on the inside of the ring – The Apple Of My Eye. Which matches the bride’s ring engraving.
Finally a good old polish to bring the ring to its golden glory.
THE FINISHED PIECE

SHINY AND NEW
Packaged up and off for delivery in time for the wedding day.
Such a pleasure to co-design this wedding ring with the groom, who I know deeply treasures wearing a ring with such a personal meaning.
